Queens college invited the band to go to queens college.  we have not had marching band all year due to the lack of a marching band leader; however, since they were offering money for us to go and play, we decided we would figure something out.  we hit the football field for practice as well as the auditorium to remind ourselves how to turn and march and play all at once. then, we dusted off our marching uniforms and performed in front of about 10,000 people. we had a few little glitches.... a clarinet player lost her reed and had to use a saxophone reed and rubber band to play (thanks to ms. polin who carries EVERYTHING in her purse)... some quick switching of pants so they could fit on the right people..... etc... but we did... it was hot hot hot, but in the end it was well worth it!  good job band!!!  and thanks to mr hollywood for filming us!! :)  unfortunately... as always it seems... something is up with the video... will try to clear it up (literally) when i get a chance... UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
